Day 1: Hanoi – Trang An – Cycling to Mua Cave – Overnight at Bungalow

07:30 – 08:15: Your VTS guide and bus will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Ninh Binh. Enjoy peaceful countryside views along Highway 1A with a short stop to stretch your legs.

Upon arrival at Trang An Wharf, embark on one of the most scenic sampan boat trips through caves and along a spectacular river flanked by lush limestone karsts and rich flora and fauna.

Afterwards, enjoy a buffet lunch featuring traditional Vietnamese cuisine at our restaurant.

Afternoon Activities:

Cycle through picturesque rice fields with buffaloes and goats along the way to Mua Cave. Climb to the mountaintop for panoramic views of the valley and visit the charming stalactites and stalagmites inside the cave.

On the ride back, cycle through local villages and continue to Tuyet Tinh Coc, where you’ll visit the pagoda inside the cave and admire the romantic lake surrounded by karsts and jungle landscapes - perfect for nostalgic memories.

Return by bicycle to the bungalow for check-in. Enjoy free time to relax, swim, or read before dinner at around 19:00. Afterward, unwind at the bar opposite the pool and enjoy the night.

Day 2: Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel – Cooking Class – Bai Dinh Pagoda

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

06:30: Begin your day with sunrise Tai Chi followed by breakfast.

Then visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the 10th-century capital city of the Dai Co Viet Kingdom. Covering approximately 300 hectares, the kingdom existed under the Dinh and Le dynasties (10th century) and the Ly dynasty (11th century). The citadel, together with the Yen Ngua limestone hills, provided strong natural defenses.

Visit two significant temples built in the 17th century:

  • Dinh Tien Hoang Temple (King Dinh)
  • Le Hoan Temple (King Le)

After that, join a traditional cooking lesson to learn how to make authentic cakes using simple local ingredients. Have lunch, check out, and settle any personal expenses.

Afternoon: Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex

Your bus will transfer you to the impressive Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex—the largest in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Located at the foot of Dinh Mountain, the complex offers breathtaking views of the surrounding river valleys and limestone peaks.

Key highlights include:

  • 500 stone statues of Arhats
  • Two giant bronze bells (27 tons and 36 tons)
  • Three 50-ton bronze statues of Tam The
  • Majestic traditional Vietnamese architecture
  • After the visit, board the bus back to Hanoi.

Around 19:00

Arrive in Hanoi and VTS will drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends.
