DAY 1: HANOI - MAI CHAU

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Traditional stilt-house homestay

8:00 AM - VTS will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. As we leave the city behind, the landscape transforms into scenic mountains and valleys. We cross a stunning mountain pass and arrive in Mai Chau around noon.

A traditional lunch will be served in a local Thai family home.

In the afternoon, enjoy a light walk around Mai Chau Valley before transferring to Ban Lac Village. Weather permitting, you can cycle through the lush countryside. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional stilt house hosted by a local Thai family.

Homestay Details:

• Communal sleeping space (no private rooms)
• Single mattress, blanket, pillow, and mosquito net provided
• Modern restroom located a few steps from the main house

DAY 2: MAI CHAU - PU LUONG

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Pu Luong Ecolodge (Bungalow)

After breakfast, we drive 15 km to reach Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Begin a 2-hour trek along a single trail through rice terraces and Thai villages, with rest stops at local homes along the way.

We meet the driver again for a short transfer to a local lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue trekking (3-4 hours) deeper into the reserve toward the western edge. This intermediate-level hike offers incredible scenery—hills, terraced fields, and ethnic villages. Good footwear and a camera are essential.

Upon arrival at Les Bains de Hieu Ecolodge, take a refreshing swim in the nearby cascades and natural pools. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner and a restful night.

Ecolodge Details:

• Accessible only by foot or motorbike - pack light
• Three traditional bungalows with private veranda
• Fan provided (no air-conditioning)
• Stylish shared restroom located nearby

DAY 3: PU LUONG - HANOI

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Accommodation & Dinner: Not included

Enjoy a relaxed morning - options include walking, cycling, or simply resting at the lodge. After lunch, we hike about 1.5 hours to the main road to meet the vehicle.

The return journey follows the Ho Chi Minh Road, arriving in Hanoi around 6:00 PM (depending on traffic).
