Discover the Sacred Beauty & Natural Wonders of Ninh Binh
Join Vietransfer Service (VTS) on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Ninh Binh province. This unique tour combines the spiritual heritage of Phat Diem Stone Cathedral - often called the “Catholic capital of the North” - with the breathtaking landscapes of Tam Coc, often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land”.
Tour Route: Hanoi - Phat Diem Cathedral - Tam Coc - Hanoi
Itinerary:
08:00 - Our VTS tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. We begin the 2.5-hour journey (130 km) through beautiful rural scenery toward Ninh Binh province.
10:30 - Visit the Phat Diem Stone Cathedral, one of the most impressive and architecturally unique churches in Vietnam. Built entirely of stone and wood between 1875 and 1899, this cathedral is a fusion of Vietnamese pagoda-style architecture and Catholic design. It has long been a spiritual center for over 140,000 Roman Catholics in the region.
12:00 - Transfer to Tam Coc (approx. 30 minutes), where you’ll enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
13:30 - 15:30 - Board a traditional sampan boat for a peaceful cruise through Tam Coc grottoes, gliding along the Ngo Dong River. Marvel at the towering limestone mountains, green rice paddies, and the three sacred caves that give Tam Coc its name: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.
15:45 - Depart for Hanoi.
