Itinerary:

Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai

You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi and transferred to the railway station for your night train journey from Vietnam’s capital to the border town of Lao Cai.

Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat Village (B, L, D)

Arrive at Lao Cai station around 6:00 AM, where our driver will welcome you and transfer you by bus to Sapa. The scenic uphill ride to Sapa takes just over an hour, offering spectacular views of terraced rice fields and mountainous landscapes.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting off to Cat Cat village, home to the Black H’Mong ethnic group. Relax at the base of the beautiful waterfall and visit the remnants of a French colonial-era hydroelectric power station. Take in breathtaking panoramas before trekking back to Sapa town.

The afternoon is free for you to explore Sapa independently. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Bac Ha Market - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L, D)

At 8:00 AM, check out from your hotel and depart for Bac Ha Market, approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Enjoy free time at one of the most vibrant and colorful markets in Northwest Vietnam. Here, many ethnic groups such as the Flower H’Mong, Dzay, and Tay gather to sell local products.

Taste traditional Bac Ha specialties and unique homemade wines made from rice, cassava, corn, and various fruits like plums, apples, and peaches. Your guide will help you engage with the local ethnic communities.

After lunch, bid farewell to Bac Ha and return to Lao Cai station. En route, stop to visit the Vietnamese and Chinese border area in Lao Cai. Transfer to the station for the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 3: Arrival in Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi at approximately 5:00 AM. The tour concludes here.
