Itinerary Details
Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Overnight Train/Bus)
- Train Option: Pick-up from hotel around 20:00, transfer to Hanoi Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai. Sleep in a soft-sleeper berth (4-bed, AC cabin).
- Bus Option: Sleeper bus departs at 21:00 from hotel. Comfortable berth with direct transfer to Sapa.
Day 1: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L, D)
05:00 - Arrive at Lao Cai station. Transfer uphill to Sapa (1 hour).
- Breakfast at hotel and tour briefing.
- Begin a 12 km trek through stunning rice terraces and remote H’mong villages:
- Y Linh Ho & Lao Chai - Black H’mong tribe
- Picnic lunch by the stream
- Continue to Ta Van Village - home of the Dzay people
- Dinner and overnight at a local homestay in Ta Van.
Day 2: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan - Sapa (B, L, D)
- Enjoy a traditional breakfast at the homestay
- Begin trekking through bamboo forests to Giang Ta Chai (Red Dao people)
- Continue along mountain trails to Su Pan Village
- Scenic views of rice fields and minority villages
- Afternoon: transfer by bus back to Sapa
- Free time in town, dinner, and overnight at hotel
Day 3: Sapa - Bac Ha Market - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L, D)
08:00 - Depart for Bac Ha Market (2.5 hours by car)
- Explore the largest and most colorful hill-tribe market in the region:
- Meet locals from Flower H’mong, Tay, Dzay, and other tribes
- Browse local handicrafts, textiles, food, buffalo trading, and homemade corn wine
- Lunch in Bac Ha town
- Afternoon: Visit the Vietnam-China border gate in Lao Cai
- Dinner near the train station
- Night train or bus back to Hanoi
Day 4: Hanoi Arrival
05:00 - Arrive at Hanoi Train Station (Tran Quy Cap)
- Tour ends. Take a taxi to your hotel on your own.
