Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – City Tour

Upon arrival in Hanoi, our VTS guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

After lunch, you will visit:

• The Temple of Literature
• The Museum of Ethnology – showcasing the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam
• Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Restored Sword)
• Hanoi Old Quarter walking tour

Your day ends with a traditional Water Puppet Show.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise

Depart from Hanoi and travel to Halong Bay with a refreshment stop en route.

At midday, board your comfortable cruise and enjoy lunch while sailing through the bay’s stunning limestone formations. Afternoon activities may include cave exploration or sunbathing on the deck. In the evening, savor a fresh seafood dinner prepared by the onboard chef.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Overnight Train to Sapa

Start the morning with a swim or simply relax before breakfast onboard.

Visit Luon Cave, then cruise back to the harbor and return to Hanoi, arriving around 5:00 PM.

In the evening, board the overnight train to Sapa in an air-conditioned 4-berth soft sleeper cabin.

Day 4: Sapa Arrival – Trek to Cat Cat Village

Arrive at Lao Cai station around 6:00 AM and drive up to Sapa, a former French hill station nestled near the Chinese border. The area is home to several ethnic minority communities dressed in colorful traditional clothing.

Take a guided walk through rice terraces and visit local hill tribe villages. In the afternoon, explore local markets offering handicrafts, embroidery, and silverwork.

Day 5: Trek to Ta Van Village – Overnight Train to Hanoi

Spend the morning trekking to ethnic minority villages around Ta Van.

Return to Sapa by van and refresh with a shower arranged in Sapa or Lao Cai before boarding the night train back to Hanoi (4-berth soft sleeper cabin).

Day 6: Hanoi – Departure

Arrive in Hanoi early in the morning and enjoy breakfast and a short rest at a mini-hotel before your airport transfer.
